Lusaka, Oct 1/09 ZANIS – All is set for the Shimunenga traditional ceremony of the Ila people in Namwala District in Southern province to be held at Maala palace on Oct 3rd and 4th.
Republican President Rupiah Banda is expected to grace this year’s the Shimunenga traditional ceremony.
Namwala District Commissioner (DC) Wilson Siadunka confirmed the development in an interview with ZANIS in Lusaka today.
Mr Siadunka said this year's ceremony will be very entertaining because the Shimunenga Organising Committee has put in place a lot of entertainment for people to watch.
The DC assured that security has been beefed up by the presence of police at Maala palace hence tourists both local and international should not worry.
