Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt into another murder case where a 27 years-old woman was murdered in cold blood by her husband.
Both Namwala Police and District Commissioner Mr Wilson Siandunka confirmed this to ZANIS today, and identified the deceased as Mr Emmanuel Chipembele of Mafutu village who is alleged to have been strangled at between 24 hours and 06 hours today.
Mr Siadunka said police speculate the deceased might have been coming from a drinking when he met his fate.
He said the deceased was strangled with an electrical cable found at the scene of the crime but added police are yet to establish the motive behind the murder.
He called on people in the district to desist form taking the law into their on hands saying it was important for people to follow the right channels when settling whatever disputes they may have against each other the resorting to murder.
The body of the deceased is in lying in the Namwala Hospital Mortuary pending post mortem.
Meanwhile Police have launched a manhunt for a man of Ndema area in Chief Muchila’s area who is alleged to have murdered his wife in cold blood using an axe.
The man identified as Mr Boniface Chikampa of Nalubanda village is alleged to have murdered his wife Petronella Chilomo aged 27 of the same area on October 17, 2009.
Mr Siandunka who confirmed the incident said the couple is suspected to have picked a domestic quarrel and the husband later used an axe to murder the wife who sustained body injuries before she died.
The man later fled and his whereabouts are not yet known. The body of the deceased is also lying in the hospital mortuary.
