And out-going District Commissioner Ms Eunice Nawa thanked civil servants for supporting her during her four year on the job.
Addressing government heads of departments in his office today, Mr Siaduka warned civil servants against absenteeism, laziness and drunkenness saying such vices tend to lower government’s image in the eyes of the public.
He called for serious team work to ensure that development was attained in the District.
Mr Sianduka also urged the civil servants to be wary of talking evil about the ruling Movement for Multiparty Democracy[MMD] government but instead work with any government of the day to deliver developmental programmes to the people..
And Mr Siaduka cautioned heads of government departments against engaging themselves in corrupt activities and advised them to put to good use whatever little funding they got from government.
"We need to realise that government is struggling to meet our entire financial requirement for us to implement programmes because of the global financial crisis so any money you receive should be used prudently for the intended purposes," Mr Siaduka said.
Turning to religious groups, Mr Saiduka called on the clergy to offer meaningful solution to the myriad of problems the country was facing instead of just rebuking the government of the day.
And on her farewell speech Ms Nawa thanked civil servants for supporting her during her four year tenure in office and encouraged them to continue with the same spirit of hard work and cooperation.
