Saturday  the 26th April 2008 was a joyous  day for flood Victim people  in Namwala when Mukamukuwa Enterprises an Organization owned by former Member of Parliament Ompie Liebenthal and Robert Liebenthal, donated Blankets and Food Staff  worthy K6.600.000= (six million six hundred thousand Kwacha)

 Donation3

The Food and Blankets were presented to the beneficiaries by Councilor Ellie Mweetwa franked by General Manager Bedson Nkolola in the company of Mrs. Loveness Beene Moono and Mrs. Fines Mwape Chilyabufu. Councilor Mweetwa who is the area Councilor for Namwala Central Ward, thanked Mr. and Mrs. Liebenthal for the Gesture. She told the Gathering which included 18 Headmen within Namwala Central ward that it was rare to find people like Ompie and her Husband    who would give out their hard earned money to help less privileged people. That clearly shows that Ompie’s  standing as an M.P in Namwala was out of love because she was still showing the same even when she was not a Member of Parliament , people should learn from what Ompie had done, helping the less privilege should not only be done when one wanted to be voted in a certain position. The Government was doing every thing possible to help those who were affected by Flood throughout the country but it could only Manage if individual and organizations emulate the Good example Ompie and her Husband Mr. Liebenthal had done.

Speaking at the same occasion on behalf of the Recipient, Headman Shuiluwe (Lubinda) thanked the councilor and the organizers for the level manner they conducted the distribution of the donated items. Mr. Lubinda noticed that there was transparency, how ever he wished it could carter for all the 14 wards in the district because he was showing the suffering with other victims in the district. He thanked Ompie and Mr. Liebenthal the owner of Mukamukuwa Enterprises for the donation which to him benefitese the real victims who did not access help from other financiers due to limited resources. The General Manger for Mukamukuwa Enterprises Mr. Nkolola Bedson thanked councilor Ellie Mweetwa for sparing her time in sharing the items to the targeted people because she knew them better than any body else. Mr. Nkolola further thanked Mrs. Fines Mwape Chilyabufu and Mrs.  Loveness Moono for the job done in helping identifying some flood Victims who were not captured in other assistance given by other Organizations.
